Winter Daily Painting #57 by Gayle Etcheverry

This is an oil painting on a 10”x10” canvas. The subject is of a winter landscape - mountains, trees fill the background and a large tree with no leaves is in the foreground.

I wanted to try a winter scene because I am going to be creating a commissioned painting of a winter tree for a dear friend. I thought it would help me get in the ‘mood’ of a winter scene since its been in the 80s here in Los Angeles for the past week. Not that I am complaining, but it is hard to really grasp that most of my country is buried under a pile of snow.

The paint is applied in a thick manner. In fact, you can see just how heavy it is in my video on the painting. The link to the youtube video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0OtnzZoQBA

I really had a great time making this painting yesterday. The crowd at the BlogTV show was a blast! Thank you for all that attended. You all help with the energy of the project and I feel you all are a part of each painting created there.

If you would like to catch one of my shows there the site is http://www.blogtv.com/People/GodBlessHumanity

Thanks!

Gayle
