Red Bridge Daily Painting #52 by Gayle Etcheverry

I used another beautiful photograph from Kristie’s collection on Flickr of a Red Bridge in a setting of trees in Autumn (or Winter if you are in Los Angeles;). Thank you Kristie for allowing me to paint from your portfolio! I encourage everyone to visit her page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/hoosiergirl/

This is an oil painting on an 8”x10” canvas. I really applied this in a heavy manner so it may take a few weeks to dry if you plan on purchasing this one.

My husband took one look at it and called it the “Bridges of Madison County” which made me smile. I loved that movie! I know it is a chick flick, but it brings back great memories and the book was a gem too.

The painting reminds me of the fall (winter where I live) which is my favorite season of all. There are tons of colors within this piece and I tried my best to get a good photograph of this one. Of course the color pops when you are looking at it in person.

I made a short video on this one. Unfortunately towards the end I forgot to take more photographs during the process, but you can still get an idea of how it looked during the paintings creation at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDT60zvvhHs
